Maritime Survey and Support.
Maritime Survey and Support (MSS) is a newly established private and independent Company. The company is located in Bergen, Norway.
MSS provides services to the maritime industry.
Ship Owning, Ship Management, Offshore and Insurance Companies are the prime customers, but MSS will also strive to serve any other maritime related industry in need of relevant service and support.
The Owner of MSS is an ex Master Mariner with many years sea service as Captain on a wide range of vessel types. ( ULCC - Product Tankers - OBO vessels as well as Dry Cargo Vessels).
Further he has worked for more than 20 years ashore in various positions in the shipping industry, all time in leading, well known Norwegian Shipping Companies.
Field covered: Technical Superintendent, Fleet Manager, SEQ / ISM Manager, Vetting Manager.
During the last 3 years worked as a Surveyour, this mainly in connection with Cargo damage as well as Hull & Machinery damages.
Due to low cost overheads MSS can offer services and support at very favorable terms and costs. Further MSS will provide its customers with timely and reliable reporting.
As a consequence thereof MSS have a goal to attract customers and further be their preferred partner when in need of services that can be offered.

Damage Surveys:
- Marine insurance Surveys in connection with Cargo damage as well as Hull & Machinery damages.
- Any other insurance related Surveys.
Condition Surveys:
- On / Off-hire Surveys
- Condition Surveys (Pre Purchase Survey)
- Pre entry Surveys (Change of Club, or renewal of P & I Club terms)
- In dispute cases, second opinion survey

- Pre Vetting Surveys.
- Pre ISM Audits
- Pre Port State Inspection
- Flag State pre entry Survey
- Bunker Survey
Further Services:
As the only certified Company in the region, MSS is authorized to carry out deviation control of magnetic compasses.
When and if required, MSS is further authorized and qualified to provide calibration and correction of the compasses.
